UA is provided on CD-ROM and includes software as well as a HUGE historical database of cash markets and individual futures contracts covering more than 900 symbols across 80 futures exchanges. Updating: Data updating may be done in three ways, either by direct dial, automated download through your Internet Web Browser (Netscape or Explorer) or direct Internet connection through your Internet Socket. Unfair Advantage picks up daily updates for your level of subscription and automatically collects data for all the days from your last collection, for up to two months.

Each daily update (of all symbols) takes about one minute to download once connection is made, with database updating time varying with the size and nature of the custom portfolios you ask the system to update for you.

Data Manipulation: The data is stored and updated within the UA environment and may be translated out into various formats and updated daily, these are called portfolios. You can create custom portfolios comprising markets of your choice. You can chop and change portfolios whenever and however you like because the historical data is maintained internally by UA. You can specify exactly how you want your portfolios, including Spot Continuations, Smoothed Perpetual Contracts^®, Back Adjusted and Forward Adjusted Contracts as well as specifying how many contracts forward you wish to follow.

Data Formats: UA can update your portfolios in any of the following industry standard formats: CSI; MetaStock^® (CompuTrack); ASCII comma, space or tab delimited; Excel^®; Lotus^®; Paradox^®; dBase^® and Access^®. Portfolios may be updated simultaneously in various formats, either within one custom portfolio or across many.
